  • Enchilada Soup

Have you ever called out sick to work when you weren’t only to find yourself with a cold a few days later? Apparently this also happens if you blog about being sick to get out of running. The cold and flu fairies feel that your mocking them and out of no where you get sentenced…

  • I’m always looking for kooky planters for all my plants. I think this guy would be perfect for the office. He’s the IGrowbot from Urban Outfitters. I think he is much cooler than the Chia pets I’ve received as past Christmas presents.

  • Running Out of Time

This weekend is the 20th Annual Turkey trot. It’s a 5K run that the city holds every Saturday before Thanksgiving. I began training six weeks ago. I was so dilligent in the beginning. I printed out a Nike training guide and I followed the plan everyday. I panted all around the neighborhood and then three…

  • Potato and Leek Soup

This is the perfect soup to curl up to on a cold day. Say what you will about Gordon Ramsey’s temper and flair for the dramatic the guy knows food. I came home with an heirloom garlic variety, bundle of leeks (for soup tonight), myer lemons, and this great Marin Gourmet hummus. Now…

These are daisies Simon bought a few weeks ago. I think these were the healthiest and the last of the daisies at the store. When we went there a few weeks ago they were moving out the summer and fall plants and making room for Christmas trees and holiday items (before Halloween even!).

  • Oil Spill in San Francisco

This Wednesday a tanker boat drove into the bay bridge and spilled over 58,000 gallons of oil into the San Francisco Bay. At this point they have only been able to recover 8,000 gallons of oil. But experts say that it maybe a lost cause as the oil that was spilled is heavier and almost…

  • A few weeks ago we went camping near the Oregon border. Along the Smith River they had this small patch of flowers. I didn’t see them anywhere else in the area and they looked so out of place. I think they are beautiful. Does anyone have any guesses on what type of flower this is?

  • November 9th Daily Photo

I just felt like sharing one my flower pictures.
