  • Hibernating

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Today, I am relaxing, eating left overs, playing in the yard and staying far away from any retail store. Have a great weekend.

  • Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We started our prep work last night with him brining the turkey and me baking pies. I also shucked fresh peas for the first time. As a l life long hater of peas (I’ve only had the frozen variety), I have to admit they were pretty tasty. Now, I have to get […]

  • Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, for me that means baking a pie this afternoon and getting the house ready for guests tomorrow. I am no great cook but I can pull off a pretty good pie and a few appetizers. I like to leave the big ticket items like Turkey to the chef in the family. This […]

I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful holiday.

I wasn’t even disgusted by the image of the meals in bowl (potatoes with a layer of gravy, followed by corn and gravy, and then swirled with chicken). […]

  • Turkey Hats!

Do you have little ones at home? I have two one-year old nephews and I think they would look hilariously cute in these turkey hats. Unfortunately, I can’t knit despite a few tries. It’s too bad there is only six more days until Thanksgiving because I think this project is worth trying. You can find […]
