Fall Flowers

DSC_0013

I hoped everyone enjoyed their extra hour of sleep this morning. This Saturday I worked hard in the neglected backyard. Spent plants were removed and leeks, onions, garlic and violas were planted. I finally got around to turning the makeshift compost bin. I have been using an old dog crate. Despite my laziness at turning the compost I got a nice pile of the black gold. The backyard looks much better now. I left the nasturtiums alone since they are still producing lots of flowers. They will be gone once the first frost hits so might as well enjoy them for now. The chrysanthemums are also doing well. They grew into massive plants with tons of flowers on them.
