I was a little bummed about the garden this week. Due to the cold temperatures I had to remove the cucumber and basil plants. They really need the hotter temperatures to thrive. However, that was before I looked at my zucchini plant. I have three baby zucchinis and one whopping big one which I harvested last night. I also managed to harvest a few Royalty purple bush beans, nasturtiums, Forellenschluss romaine, carrots, and baby kale. I used the carrot and zucchini in a pasta dish and the rest where thrown into a salad. This is my first time growing zucchini and I must say it’s has a much richer and sweeter flavor than grocery store varieties. It’s nice to know that summer is just around the corner.

Woo-hoo! Your garden is way ahead of mine. No blooms on anything, let alone veggies. Good show!

Im jealous just a bit that your garden is doing so well , I live not to far from Davis but moved to a new house so Im MONTHS behind for planting and my dirt is in need of serious compost and love. I am enjoying watching your garden grow on Flickr. Enjoy the fruits of your labor 🙂
