Spring has Sprung

It’s so odd to look at other people’s sites and see their homes under snow. Out here it’s been like spring. Today I began to notice some obvious signs that spring is near. Flowers are popping up everywhere and an unexpected places such as my rosemary, oregano, and strawberry plant.

There are also a few more ornamental flowers popping up as well. I was surprised to see a Calla Lily already in bloom.

Of course the ultimate sign of spring is when my dog, Jack, insists on sunbathing. You wouldn’t think a dog with a double coat of black fur would enjoy sunbathing but he does this every spring.

It is equally odd for me to see your carnations and rosemary in bloom. I’d much rather have your blooms to my snow. At least it is in the 40’s today and the snow is melting. YEA!

Nice photos, you are lucky you have that kind of weather. What state do you live in?

Its odd for me to see green and flowers in other people’s blogs. I think I have forgotten even what LAWN looks like around here….It’s torture.

Wow! It really is like Spring where you are! We just got a few more inches of snow this morning ๐Ÿ™
Jack reminds me of my dog Pete! He’s all black and lays the same way on the pavement when it’s warm out ๐Ÿ™‚

The picture of the rosemary flowers is beautiful. My dog Maggie also LOVES laying out in the sun until she’s hot to the touch and panting. Then she comes inside, cools off, then heads back out. Crazy dogs!

Our black cats love sunning themselves as well. They get downright hot to the touch so it’s crazy to me that they live for it.

Oh such lovely photos of spring! As it is snowing outside right now, it seems a bit weird to see your photos of spring but oh so nice ๐Ÿ™‚ Jack looks so happy in the sun!

Angie: I live in Davis, California. This time of the year is always nice but it’s very short lived. It will only be a matter of time until we have triple digits. By then you will be enjoying the lovely spring weather.

Sandy, Lotus, Ambika- Well, I’m glad to hear my dog isn’t the only one. It’s funny that the black furred animals are the ones so into sunbathing.
