To Many Knives and Not Enough Drawers

We have generated a large collection of knives. I guess this happens when you blend two households. When I am unloading the dishwasher first I attempt to jam knives into the woodblock and if that doesn’t work I put them into the knife drawer where they may or may not be seen again. I found two solutions for our knife storage problem the first was the magnetic knife holder from EvaSolo.

The other solution was a univeral knife block. I originally spotted on All That and A and it can be purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I am favoring the universal knife block only because I am one of those people who can bump her own head on her own kitchen cabinets while unloading the dishwasher.  I can only imagine what type of damage I could do with knives suspended in the air.
