Wow, is it already November? October just seemed to fly by. I received two CSA shares last month. This month reflected the passing of summer and the welcoming of the fall vegetables. In the first half of the month I received tomatoes, basil and peppers, parsley, grapes, and turnips. I also received a new to me winter squash called Japanese pumpkin or Kabocha.
CSA weekly bi-weekly share of heirloom tomatoes, grapes, turnips (blech), basil, parsley, onions (always needed) and Japanese pumpkin
The second half of the month I saw more of the fall vegetables in fruits. I was very happy to see the breakfast radishes, the big bag of lettuce, broccoli, mustard greens, pomegranates, and acorn squash along with the yellow peppers and turnips.
