These are my hybrid mixed color sunflowers. They are much smaller than the Mammoth sunflowers which I planted at the same time. The mammoth sunflowers are still growing but these smaller ones have been in bloom all week.
This one is in my backyard and it is a darker red than the previous one. I am a bit irritated that it chose to grow facing the fence. However, if you look to the right you can see a new bloom which may make up for this rebellious flower.

The colors here are *so* inspiring, especially that brown merging into dusky reds. I have some faux tortoise beads that I think would look perfectly with a hint of red, just like in that second image. Hmmm…

OK where are you located?? We are just starting our growing season. In MN it is advisable to wait until Memorial Day to plant. My sunflowers are oh so very very tiny right now!!
