Here they are the last of the bulbs that I planted in the fall. This Dutch Iris was a little tricky. The bulbs were an impulse buy and I had them growing in a pot. It shot up something that looked like grass and it just stayed that way for months. I later realized that it needed more room to grow so I put these poor root bound bulbs into a slightly shady spot in the front yard. They just opened up today and they are so pretty. I love the purple with the bright yellow.
I also have a few more freesia plants blooming. I have two white plants and one yellow. I did notice that the yellow and white ones did have a slightly stronger scent than the red ones.
Ooh, that is pretty. I love how complicated irises are.
I had no idea the lighter ones would have a stronger scent. I love the irises! We have something sprouting out of the ground in our back yard currently, and I have no idea what it is. I hope they open up to something this pretty 🙂
oooh…such beautiful photos.
Oh, I just adore irises 🙂
