Hi-Tech Gardening

plant-glasses

While these shades may bring back memories of Mc Hammer they are actually the latest in Hi-tech gardening equipment. These glasses were designed by Nasa and the Department of Agriculture to detect sickly plants. The glasses block out the green reflected by chlorophyll. If the plants are healthy you will see gray and black but if they are sick or damaged you will see pink and coral shades. They can be purchased through the Clean Air Gardening website. I would be curious to try them but with a 50.00 price tag I’m not sure they would be in my budget. I think I’ll have to stick with low-tech methods.

Holy 80’s Batman! For being high tech they look pretty dated. But their purpose is rather cool though. Maybe they’ll get cheaper in the future 🙂

Whoa, I never thought gardening would get to this level to where you can see a sick plant from a healthy one. They need these for people so I won’t get sick anymore.
