How to Make Your Own Laundry Soap

Here is a way to cut down costs on laundry detergent. You can just make your own using simple ingredients. The site the DollarStretcher had a few recipes.

Powdered Laundry Detergent

• 1 cup soap flakes
• 1/2 cup washing soda
• 1/2 cup borax

Liquid Laundry Detergent

• 1 cup of any of the above mixes
• 2 tablespoons of glycerin
• 2 cups warm water

Mix indregients and store in a sealed, labeled canister.

To use measure 1/2-3/4 cup of the mix and wash with warm or cold water.

Yields 12 oz.
