Last Minute Spooky Fun
We have been so busy that Halloween kind of snuck up on us. Tonight, we are going to have a mini get together and hand out candy to the kids. I made my own poison labels using clip art and a colored printer. My work just happen to have an assortment of labels to chose […]

I took some photos of the flowers from my Halloween project. I think I like the white ones the best.

Pumpkin House of West Virginia
Every Halloween season Ric Griffith and hundreds of volunteers carve thousands of pumpkins for display at his home. The house is completely transformed into the Great Pumpkin house. I have entered Jack into Luvmutt’s Halloween contest. Here is Jack modeling his old Halloween costume from last year. Isn’t he dashing in his fake pantsuit? He tolerated everything but the wig. He was utterly embarrassed to be wearing it. Before last year I would have never thought to dress up my dog in a […]

Recycling Toilet Paper Rolls as Seed Starter Kits
I have just discovered the site “You Grow Girl” which is filled with some great ideas for your garden. I was especially intrigued with her idea for the toilet roll seed starter. In the past I’ve used peat pellets and the newspaper pots with mixed results. I had a lot of success with the peat […]
