Happy Thanksgiving Eve, for me that means baking a pie this afternoon and getting the house ready for guests tomorrow. I am no great cook but I can pull off a pretty good pie and a few appetizers. I like to leave the big ticket items like Turkey to the chef in the family. This year I wanted to introduce a new dish to the table. I’ve been researching like crazy and making myself very hungry in the process. Here are a few of my favorites.
Smitten Kitchen’s: Acorn Squash with Chile Limes which look amazing but I’ve never had the pleasure of trying acorn squash before and I want to try something less risky and her Roasted Stuffed Onions.
Vegan Yum Yum: While I’m not a vegetarian I thought her Thanksgiving dinner looked appealing not to mention far superior to Tofurkey.
So you can see why I’ve been so hungry all week and can’t wait to dig into our big dinner tomorrow. I am actually going to be very daring and try my own version of a recipe. Well, daring for me anyways. I hope all of you have a great and relaxing holiday.
